Our blog has been up and running for a couple of years or so and without any real concerns. The original purpose of this blog (as opposed, for example, of our church's web site) was to give Nags Head Church family a safe place to share news, prayers, praises and get some teaching from our pastors and leaders.
But the reality is that anything on the web is pretty much wide open. Keeping the blog as a safe place for NHC is still our purpose here. So for that reason the blog will tighten its "security" measures by one level - requiring comments to be moderated.
What that simple step does is it continues to allow anyone to read what is posted, but ensures that their comments are reflective of the purposes and values of this church. So, please continue to read and to comment.
But if you are not a part of this church community and your comments reflect either a critical spirit of her members, purposes or values, or anything deemed to be harmful or belittling to the church or our beliefs, your comments will not be welcomed and posted for others to see.
If you have a cause or reason to debate who we are, what we believe, our purposes or mission, please feel free to contact our staff. But that is not the purpose of this blog.
