We would love to hear your feedback about the Christmas Concerts. Not so much whether or not you enjoyed the music, but more about the impact it may have had in helping you to reach your community to discover life in Christ.

Did you invite a friend, neighbor, coworker who doesn't attend church? Did they show up? Did they talk with you about it? Let us know, so that we know this event is fulfilling its purpose, and so that we can continue to do it in the future.

Do You Have a Will to Protect Your Family?

During our Sunday emphasis on FAMILY we will be hosting some practical sessions on Wednesday nights to help you protect your family, your children and your marriage.

Wednesday evening, May 12 at 6:30 Jean Louise Dixon, a Dare Co. attorney, will be on hand at NHC to talk about preparing wills, trusts and medical directives. Her session will be free and is open to the community. Jean Louise is a specialist in estate planning and will be glad to answer your questions as well. I've asked her because of her expertise and because she is the attorney who drew up our wills.

If you own property (all of us do in some form) and especially if you have children a will is one of the most important things you can establish to protect your most treasured assets. Some of us have no doubt had to deal with the possessions of a loved one who left no will behind, and that can be extremely stressful.

In North Carolina, should a parents die without a will stating their wishes for their minor children it becomes the responsibility of the state, ie. a judge, to determine who will care for your children. If you do not have a will that's what will happen!

An evening of worship with new and old Christmas carols. The auditorium was packed. The Hospitality team served tons of cookies and hot drinks. The First Impressions team welcomed everyone with seasons greetings. The Tech Teams, Worship Choir and MP13 Band led us in worship.

Although Christ's sacrifice is something we should consider every day, Good Friday is an extra special time to focus on the Cross and all that He has done for us.
