Three things to remember about Easter Sunday this year at NHC! Everything we do is to reach people to discover life in Christ!

1) Three Worship Gatherings at 7, 9 & 11am, all three are identical! 9 & 11 are always packed, which mean we need everyone to serve where and when they can. This also means that we need as many people as possible to attend at 7 so that we can free up seats at 9 & 11. Just remember that there is no child care available at 7am.

2) Satellite Parking will be available at Surf Side Plaza, 1/4 Mile South of NHC on HWY 158 (look for the Harley Davidson sign). A shuttle with be running from 6:30am to 1pm. Anyone who can park at the satellite site will be our hero! We typically run out of parking spots before we run out of seats in the auditorium. If you do need to park at the church, look for some direction from our parking team in the parking lot.

3) Carpooling is appreciated! Again, help us save room in our parking lot for our guests by riding to church with somebody else!

Thanks for offering your gifts of service and sacrifice to God this weekend as we welcome our guests and share Jesus’ story with the world! Remember that more people are open to the things of God in their lives this week than at any other time during the year. Most people will come to church if somebody they know will invite them.

Plus, there's a link to our old podcast page (now called the "Podcast Vault") so that anyone who wants to listen to something before this past Sunday's message can do so.

Easter Sunday at NHC is a huge day. We look forward to this day each year because many will come to church on Easter Sunday who haven't been to a church in a long time or come searching for answers. We know of many have come to know Christ on Easter Sunday at NHC.

Again this year we will be having our Sunday ministry teams parking at Surf Side Plaza and riding the shuttle over to NHC to free up parking for our guests. We have a ministry opportunity for a couple of our partners to drive the church van and shuttle team members back and forth from the Surf Side Plaza. If you would like to help with that ministry please let Andy know by e-mailing him andy@nagsheadchurch.org.

Maintenance and Repair for Helene

The following is from our missionaries in Helene. Here are a few practical ways NHC can help Larry and his team continue to serve.


When we returned to Helene, we found many needs. The most comical one, but needful, is that we have 14 toilets that need to flush. They are leaking and in need of immediate repair. To keep things cool in Helene is almost impossible. When we returned, we found out we had a refrigerator that had gone out. So we have to buy a new one. Glock Update

Dear partners in the gospel,

I'm beginning this update with that greeting because I've been spending a lot of time in Paul's letter to the Philippians and I'm seeing partnership everywhere! Paul wrote this to the Philippian church, "I thank my God every time I remember you. I always pray with joy in my every prayer for all of you because of your participation in the gospel from the first day until now." Paul's experience of joy was based on the memories of his partnership with the Philippians. The greek word for partnership is koinonia and in other contexts it is translated as communion or fellowship.

I understand what Paul was writing about because for 19 years I've been writing to you, our partners in the gospel. I scan through the list of recipients and my memory is flooded with so many faces and experiences. What a blessing to be in communion for the sake of the gospel. I thank my God every time I remember you!

The CEP and the ICG
It starts with the work in the churches here in Grenoble. This Sunday (March 7th) the ICG and the CEP will have a combined bilingual worship service followed by a fellowship meal. One of the important developments in the partnership between the two churches is the desire to make know the Gospel of Jesus Christ together. Over the last three years we have grown in our communion together and now this is moving us out in mission together. The leaders of both churches sense that something significant is happening between the two churches and we believe this will lead to many turning to Christ. Thank you for your prayers.

ITeams France
From time to time I've spoke about working with Thierry Mirone to create a French mobilizing entity that would be a part of the ITeams worldwide family. We held the official meeting on February 8th. The board is in place and the paper work for the French government is in motion. Thierry has gathered together a diverse group of French believer to support ITeams France. It is exciting to see them take up the challenge of helping Thierry in his ministry of mobilizing teams into short-term missions. It has been my joy to help get things going and to see others take up the challenge. Please keep Thierry in your prayers as builds up a team of leaders capable to lead short-term teams.

Our family
Sylvie and I are grateful for all of you who pray for our family. Anastasia, Juliet and Pascal are doing well. Yesterday I was teaching the T&T group at AWANA. We read together the verse from 1 Samuel where it talks about Samuel growing both in "stature and favor with God and man." Sylvie and I see the same thing for our children. We thank God for this grace.

Anonby Update

Greetings! Trust you are all well. It’s time again to fill you in on what’s been happening here.

In September, I (Stan) participated in the biennial Brazilian missions conference, which took place in Caldas Novas. Over 20 organizations were at these exciting meetings. There was much discussion about the results of the surveys that I have been doing the last few years. It is so encouraging to feel we are all working together to identify the best strategy to reach the Indigenous peoples of Brazil. Pray the Lord will continue to guide and unite us.

In October, Sandy was chosen to travel to Panama for a week of leadership training. It was a great opportunity for her to learn about her strengths.

In November, I surveyed five groups along the Trans-Amazon highway, which turned out to be one long mud hole. I spent many days on the back of a dirt bike with friends Luiz and Douglas. The trip was so rough that by the end I felt 10 years older. But what a joy it was to feel a part of something the Lord was doing. In almost every village, people were so hungry for spiritual things. What a privilege to feel His virtue flow as I prayed with them. Luiz caught the vision too and has gone back to the area to do ministry.

I returned to find a crisis at home. Sandy hemorrhaged critically, needed a blood transfusion, and spent several days in hospital. For now, she is being treated with medication. We pray the problem will be resolved soon. Although she is still in a lot of pain, she continues to teach physical education at the school.

Over Christmas, we traveled by plane and bus to Mendoza, Argentina, where I lived as a boy. I hadn’t been back in 30 years, so it was a wonderful homecoming time. We stayed with old friends, visited late into the night, and hiked up to old haunts. For New Year’s, we rented a car and caravanned with two other families over the Andes to Chile. All of us enjoyed the rugged scenery and the seven kids (ages 13-22!) loved the beach.
