What about Sunday if there's a hurricane?

Looks like we may have some bad weather this weekend. Don't assume worship gatherings are canceled. We will make every effort, if weather and conditions permit to meet together.

If we are experiencing tropical storm (maximum sustained winds are between 35-64 knots (39-73 mph) or hurricane strength winds/rain on Sunday morning we will not have worship gatherings.

If the weather is clear, but the power is out we will have one gathering at 11:00 outdoors. So bring a beach chair, an umbrella and sun glasses! Remember, the church is not a building!

If Northern Dare is under an evacuation order, but the storm is not at tropical storm strength on Sunday morning we will have one gathering at 11:00.

If there is flooding and roads (Colington Rd. for example) are impassable we will try and be creative for those who can't get through.

Weather News For This Weekend

Checking the Weather Channel today and wondering about possible snow and how it might affect Sunday morning at NHC? Here is some info that you might find helpful. Read it carefully!

> IF the 9am gathering is canceled, a message will be sent via email, posted on this blog, and posted on our official Facebook group by 5pm on Saturday. If there is no cancellation, you won't receive any message.

> IF the 11am gathering is canceled, a message will be sent via email, posted on this blog, and posted on our official Facebook group by 8am on Sunday. If there is no cancellation, you won't receive any message.

> IF you are serving on a ministry team this Sunday and there is a cancellation of the 9am gathering only AND you have a question about how that may affect your ministry team schedule, contact your ministry team leader. A general rule of thumb is to assume that you are still needed to serve in ministry regardless.
