Nags Head Church Statement on OBX Gay Pride Festivities

Nags Head Church exists to help people discover life in Christ. It is our belief that everyone is born with a need to be reconciled to God, and our sincere desire is to point all we encounter, gay or straight, toward faith in Christ.

It is also our belief that God created sexual relationships to be within the bounds of marriage and marriage to be between a man and a woman. Therefore, homosexuality, like adultery, for example, is looked upon by the Creator as behavior outside of His design.

Rather than react against or retreat from the gay community we hope for opportunities to engage them with the truths of the Gospel. We hope that all 200 plus partners of Nags Head Church will communicate the love of God in word and deed during the Gay Pride festivities so that any who will see and listen will know that they can have the freedom and life Christ offers.
