Update from Adam and Melissa Hoffman

Friends,

Thanks for praying and being an active part in what the Lord is doing here.
Continue to pray for our students as they are stretched and grow intellectually, academically, spiritually, emotionally, and missiologically. Also remember to pray for their church practicum I talked about last time.

The Buddhist field trip was a great experience as a we were lead through a Thai temple by a man who recently changed his allegence over to Christ. We had a great Thai lunch (Pad Thai for Melissa, Heavenly Noodles [and they were!] for Adam) and then went to the Chinese temple. This was lead by a member of their temple and really gave the students an insider view into their worldview.

Continue to pray for the Urbana process and that He would work it out for us to go, or not.

FYI Program Director's Training has been delayed until February.

The US Center for World Mission Board Meetings are today. Pray that this team is given wisdom from God to discern our performance as a whole this past year as well as goals for the coming year.

Pray for some of the Insight Projects Melissa and I are working on. Here are a few: national promotion, recruiting, new website, new host locations,
Out of those listed above let me highlight that this Sunday is our Fall '09 Meet and Greet recruiting event. Pray that many will come to hear about the Insight program and be convinced that it is right for them.

Pray for Insight Alumni staff & students overseas or preparing to go. Many of our former staff (& students) are overseas now or preparing to go. Pray for many who are serving in India, as well as those in Lebanon, Egypt, SE Asia (and that's just the people off the top of my head!)
