Prayer Update from Adam and Melissa Hoffman

Insight Updates
Pray for our upcoming field trip this Sunday November 22nd at the Hindu Temple. Pray that students will realize the joy and freedom that comes from serving Christ while at the same time gaining valuable first hand experience with real people who believe some of the things we've been studying.

Continue to pray for the 7 Pasadena students who are learning more about who God is and what he has been doing throughout history. In the time-line of history, we are in the early church, learning about crucial issues in the 1st century.
Pray for these students as they continue to grow in relationship with people who believe things differently then they do. They are asked to go out and build long term friends throughout this year with people across worldviews.

Personal Updates
Continue to pray for patience and preparation for the coming adoption. We are making progress on the to be nursery and finalizing some adoption grants.
We are saying goodbye to good friends here that are leaving to go to the field. Pray for good times with them as we serve Christ in separate continents. At the same time, we are meeting newly arrived young married couples that we want to bring into the larger community.

Urbana & Apostolos
Melissa and I have always dreamed of doing mission conferences for college students. We love seeing this generation's zeal and ambition being poured into the Kingdom of God. We've asked for prayer in the previous weeks about a possible opportunity to attend Urbana '09, well keep praying hard because we are official exhibitors with the USCWM.

The Apostolos conference has occurred over the years with a vision to bind young people planning to go with field experienced mentors and brothers and sisters with similar goals. With crucial members of the founding of this conference going back to the field, we've offered to plan and run this conference. We've just set the date and are beginning recruitment and speakers. Pray for us as we learn and grow in this role. More details to come on Apostolos '10 soon!
