The Coming Swell - August 6

Kids Zone Update
The last little bit of framing is being finished this week, along with taping and finishing the dry wall. We'll need volunteers for clean up and sanding in the coming days before we can begin painting. If you haven't participated yet, now's the time! This week the flooring has been measured; a couple doors have been ordered, the dry wall has been hung.

Discovering NHC
Sunday's class is big, but there is still room to get in. DNHC is the introduction class to the church, explaining our beliefs, purposes, vision, strategies for doing God's work and basically answering questions about the church. If you're already a partner you can also take the class as a refresher, which is a great idea. If you want to get in, email Rick@nagsheadchurch.org.

Communion this Sunday
We'll be celebrating the Lord's Supper Sunday morning in both gatherings. Rick and Matt will be talking about our personal holiness in the series "Holier Than Thou?" and tying it into communion. (And if Mike calls and asks for your help, please say "Yes!".)

Sunday Parking
If you've arrived late to church the past few weeks you may have had to park down the street. We want to be good neighbors, so please be sure your car is totally off the road; park only on the south side of the street and do not block anyone's driveway.

If you are a NHC partner and missed the last CREST meeting our elders will be staying in the auditorium after both gatherings to answer any questions you may have. Major changes are about to take place in our staffing, so please be in the know.

Operation Back Pack
Our 2nd year of reaching out to local families by providing needed school supplies. Wednesday and Friday evenings, August 12 and 14 and Saturday morning August 15 we'll be open for business. Everything is given away free. This Sunday is Back Pack Sunday and we'll be looking for the coolest back pack brought in! And there's still room to join the team and help staff the event. Email info@nagsheadchurch.org to find our more. Note: This weekend, Aug. 7-9 is a tax free weekend in NC and VA.

Crown Financial Seminar - Mark your calendar Nov. 14th.
In conjunction with Crown Ministries and the Southern Baptist Convention Nags Head Church will be hosting a one day fiancial freedom seminar. Click here to register online or call Amy Torcasso at 919-459-5539. $20 Registration Fee with no additional charge for spouses.

Connection Group Leadership Training
Set aside Sunday afternoon, August 23 if you are a group leader or are interested in becoming one. You don't have to be a teacher!! The training will be from 2 to 5PM. New groups will be launched in September!

Single Adults Beach Volleyball
Tuesday nights @ 6:30. Bonnett St. access in Nags Head. Bring your game.

Contagious Youth
Sundays 5-7PM @ Bonnett St. Students 6th through 12th grades.
