1st & 10

The summer is coming to a close, the weather is already cooling down, and football officially began this weekend. The end of the summer is always a great time to try something new...a new season, a new school year, and maybe even a new step in following Christ.

Giving to God is about grace. God has shown us His grace by giving to us all that we are and have, even when we do not deserve it. In return, He asks us to reflect His grace by giving back to Him so that, through the local church, He can reach people to discover His new life. In His word, He has given His followers the challenge to give back 10% of our income.

1st & 10 is a challenge to each partner and regular attender at NHC to believe in God's promise to meet our needs by giving to Him 10% of our income of the 1st week of the month. Especially those of us who have yet to discover the grace of giving back to God, this is a great opportunity to test God.
