Prayer Requests from Iraq

Army Chaplain Capt. David Chapman recently sent me a letter and asked us to pray about these specific needs. Capt. Chapman is the chaplain of the unit to which Dale Hamilton is attached. Below are taken from the letter.

I would ask those who have taken up the mantle to pray for us to seek the Lord's Throne of Grace for a couple specific things.

Please pray for unity among our commanders to support one another in their efforts and sacrifices in deedes that do not get the recognition they deserve. At this point in the deployment we are getting through the mid-way point and it can be a matter of living with the doldrums to see movement toward a conclusion in this effort - not just for the soldiers but for the families as well.

Safety is always significant as we see the hand of God keep us from serious harm in near misses and the lack of attention of others, especially on the roads.

For protection for families who are learning to live day to day with the father or mother on the other side of the planet.

And lastly, that the Holy Spirit will move on the hearts of all in our task force to be open to the message of grace and peace in Jesus Christ. Instead of waiting for disaster to strike, I would rather that God would search people's hearts and hear His invitation to come to the Cross and lay down all their sins before His everlasting sacrifice that leads to new life.

If you would take up these requests, much good will happen beyond the expectations of the immediate. LTC Jim Bradford has expressed to me his sincere appreciation to those who are standing with us in prayer during this deployment - because so much rides on Divine intervention, not man's plans.
